Wildflowers

This is a walk through my southern Appalachian woods, starting when the woods come to life in February and extending into the fall. I will be adding to it as I discover new flowers. I’ve classified by color as that seems the easiest way to do it, but sometimes flowers come in several colors or change colors as they age. If you see a pink flower and can’t find it, perhaps look at the purple listings.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but if it can help you satisfy your curiosity about the beauties in the woods and fields, then my job is done. And, I’m identifying them with the best resources I have, but if you see something that is wrongly identified, please send me a note so I can correct it.
